Think the front mount will need adapting from the 1.0l models.

Nope, the 1.0l had a mechanical pump on engine somewhere i presume, so you just connect the pipes to the 1.4 pump.

What brakes did the 1.0l have? Can't be any worse then the shocking std 1.4l ones I have seen so far!

brakes on the 1.0/1.2/1.3/1.4 are all the same the sri/gte/gsi had bigger ones

you will need a petrol tenk from a 1.2/1.3/1.4 carb nova as the 1.0 does not have the return feed to the tank, you will also have to run the pipe for the return down the body to the tank

one of the mounts is different but if you have the mounts with the 1.4 use them and you will be fine :D

Erm, the carb tanks and line are all the same IIRC.

Slap the motor in and stick the pipes on, I bet it works once the fuel is pumped through!

As for brakes I take it you have some ATE 2l calipers and discs to go on?

no honestly the 1.0 does not have the return feed i have done this conversion a few times now and the tank will need changing :D

instead of changing tank why not stick a weber 32/34 on there. They only need 1 fuel line + a regulator.

the GTE/GSI didn't have bigger brakes as such, the discs were just 20mm thick instead of 10mm thick.

riggy is right.

you may get away with a t piece in the fuel line, or just get a twin choke weber of some kind and an adapter kit. plenty in scrappies on vauxs/VWs.

Contradiction if ever i saw one!

most folk define "bigger brakes" as larger diameter, not nessecaraly thicker.

so yes the gte/gsi discs were the same diameter, jsut a bit fatter to take a bit more head

omg lets see if we can get on jerry springer and see if we can argue the definition of bigger brakes

thats why i put that.
