View Full Version : MK1 front end to a Mk2 face lift front end conversion help
Just thought about converting the front end of my mk1 to a mk2, only coz they look sweeter,
I am guesing it aint the hardest job to do, wot bits would i need to get, guesing two mk2 wings right
does any 1 know how much is it likely to cost me to do, excluding the spraying , paint, and how much to get it sprayed, but it depends on paint cost really.

yep,you will need both the wings, a pair of mk2 headlights, indicators and grill. :D
For what you'd pay for a pair of new wings, grill headlights and indicators and bumpers, you could buy a knackered powered mk2, all the bits you'd need, and if you felt brave enough you'd have a mk2 dash to fit as well!!
Dont do it! Mk1's are the future.
If you want a Mk2, buy a mk2. Would be a LOT easier, quicker, and prolly cheaper.
And less likely to have me moaning at you for it
i picked my wings, lights, indicates and grill up for 45 of a mate who crashed his backwards into his house lol but hav to agree with mel that mk1 do luk gud wen dun well. but the only reason i got my stuff cause it was goin cheap n my archs are about fucked! :(

as far as i am aware you can buy the mk2 nose job conversion from ffwdmotorsport it isnt advertised on the web but is in total vauxhall
Yeah, you can still get the kit but it'll cost upwards for ?200. Why not get GTE bumpers and a grill or an SR front spoiler and grill. They're not so common anymore and the'd have a sweet old school appeal to them. Oh, and Paint them Grey!!
stick a post in wanted for a GSi front end.
May as well get mk2 rear bumper whilst yer at it.
I did a post a few posts back about changing the bumpers over and went into detail about doing an upgrade to mk2. not sure where it is - no more than 4 back thnough
