View Full Version : replacing the windscreen

ok having to change my windscreen due to the fact i cracked it putting it in and its leaking into the drivers foot well. no do i have to use a sealer around the edges, i.e tigerseal or stick-a-flex? any info will help cheers guys

No you dont need to use any sealer, although most people do. I havent and mine is fine

never used any on mine an it was fine, plus there will still be some already in the rubber seal

No need as the other have said just reuse the opriginal seal, easy job just need some strong string.

if there are any rust holes visible when the window is out:- treat them then fill them (with fibleglass) -this will help prevent leaks!

fairy liquid is good for things like that, but note that it contains salt, so i try and keep it away from my car (novas dont like salt!). -try car shampoo!

yeah there is still sealent left from when it was out originally, but its still leaks, my drivers foot well is swimming

I sell them for ?10 i think they are ?160ish new.
