I took my 1.3SR nova out for a spin this afternoon and when I hit about 70-75mph it started to cut out a stall like it was running out of petrol. It had the fuel pump done about 6 months ago, so I wouldn't have thought it would be that. It was almost like it was starved of fuel or air. I went out again with a mate and it did it again in 4th gear at the same speed. Has anyone got any ideas?
praps its a speed limiter so you cant drive like a joyrider

gutted if thats the case :(
It could be carb icing although I don't think it's been cold enough for that quite yet - do you use any kind of K&N filter with a cold air feed?

Yeah I use a Bolt on K&N, with my old nova I used tohave a similar problem when it was wet, due to water getting into the carb, but it has been dry when this has happened to my present car. Also it doesn't feel like the same kind of fault.
