I have got my MOT booked next, week and am getting my car ready for it, how ever i have just noticed that in my boot there is a fair bit of rust, right at the back of the car, right hand side corner, there is a very small hole there right in the middle of this rust patch.

Would this fail the mot , as if u look throught the rust patch, u can see light comin through, so this means it has gone through the bottom, the other side is similar, but know holes.
any 1 know wot bits of the chassis they find important are they likely to check in the boot, under the carpets.
any 1 know

IF the hole is within 30cm of a structural point, its a fail i.e Seat Belt mount, Shassy Legs,

how far back is the hole? in the boot you mean? if it's like the one i had, it won't fail as it was over 30cm from structural points (seatbelt mounts, chassis legs, suspension mounts etc). it was in the right hand corner of the boot just underneath the light cluster access hatch.

probably depend on the tester though. got it welded up for about ?100.

Cut it out and weld it up before the evil disease spreads.

P.S. not that bad I have one in my GTE project that you can put your fist through .

is it only "rust" holes that fails for a "hole" within 300mm of the structural point?

ive not got a wheel well in anymore, and its all xbraced up properly etc, and a cage, and proper strut brace etc but i intend to cover the floor with 2mm polycarb. hmmmmm this might have to be a trailer queen too lol
