My car has been stood for about a year getting done up whilst i have been banned. Got it back last friday and since then i noticed that it is very flat and doesnt pull as well - when in third gear it gets to about 5000-5500 and gets 'stuck', and when i put it into forth it just doesnt pull anymore.
Also every time i press the accelerator the car splutters for a second or two then pulls fine before reaching higher revs. Yesterday and today it was as if i had the choke on (but i didn't) when i was driving as when i pressed the clutch the revs shot up to 3500. This whilst driving is shite as when slowing down the car keeps pulling forwards making it harder to stop and when changing gear makes it sound like you cant drive! Also it is using insane amounts of petrol - about a fiver to do 40 miles!
Any ideas on what is wrong???? Maybe the carb sticking or new a new throttle linkage???
