Right People,

I have just got hold of a XE lump with all the loom, ecu, driveshafts etc.

Is it a straight forward job? I am getting confused when reading about having to use spacers and new mounts for the gearbox. I thought it was just the engine mounts and driveshafts you swapped? So could any nice person out there shed some light on this. Ideally i want to know what i need to mod & adjust to get the conversion to look & feel right.

Any help would be great.

Also am i okay using Bilstein shocks & 80mm springs?
Don't want it sagging like a grannys nipples!

don't forget to bash out the alternator area of the engine bay.

You dont have to move any mounts, just buy a new modded mount from courtenay or someone.

And as for shafts you will need 22 splines or some courtenay ones. And thats about it mate.

and dont forget to weld the bay up ,dont want the seams splittin lol

and as snowface said the alternator - either bash the leg or cut a hole or make a lowering braket :D

there a few ways to mount them up, the rough arse way is to use spacers the other way is to drill out the spot welds on the mount take it off then re weld it on lower down

Ive heard that it's stronger if u bash the front leg rather than cut and weld it. I've recently taken a hammer to mine if u need pics, let us know b4 i drop the engine in.
