there i was driving along in my nova when it started juddering and sounded like shit yesterday morning.just thought it was probably because it was cold so i carried on.(very stupidly)got to berkeley circle (bussiest roundabout in scunny)and the bastard thing conks out on me half way round it.a hgv nearly went straight into the side of me i was so scared. so i put me hazards on and nobody came to help until 15 mins later wen sum guy pushed me onto the grass destroying the paint on my bumper which had just been lowered.looked like i had abandoned it.eventually got it towed home by my mardy stepdad and got sum guy to look at it in the pouring rain.turns out it was the distributor. it was fooked basically and the imobiliser- which i never knew i had!!!
touch wood tho it ok now eventhough i lost a days pay through it oh and to top it all today i got the sack!AGAIN not a good week for me really. :cry:

lol mine did that once, we went roun a roundabout 13 times n the fuel dropped and dropped then my car cut out, turns out it was the fuel sloshing to the wrong side of the tank lol !

good job you ok, and the cars sorted, im sure you will get another job and the bumper can be sorted without to much fuss id say.

the same happened to me in the capri, bare in mind it was rush hour in the morning on a very big motorway roundabout. Pulled out onto the junction and the throttle cable snapped it stopped across 3 lanes, nothing i could really do about it. No one came an helped me, they were more happy to use their horns an stick their fingers up, so i got pissed off left the car where it was on the 3 lanes of roundabout an walked home. The police towed it away an they still have it now. Not one person was even bothered to help me at all, i hope i caused a massive traffic jam arse holes

That sucks!

Still, aint half as bad as undertaking someone on a roundabout, pulling about 70mph in 3rd, to find that the back end suddenly wants to overtake, and you've gone from being infront of the guy you were undertaking, to somehow TOTALLY missing him, and ending up going round the back of him...backwards....then ending up with the rear end beached on the central reservation! :roll:

Turns out a coolant hose split and spewed water all over the rear wheels, which then obviously caused me to be driving in the wet...even tho I was going at 'DRY' cornering speeds...the rest is history :lol:

I only had about 4 bars on the digi n anyonme who has a digi will realise that the last 4 bars are nothing.

So i presume that going round the roundabout constantly kinda stopped what little fuel i had from coming through the fuel lines properly.

it was very late at night and i was waiting for someone.

tip : stick car in 2nd.... turn car to start.... drive car onto roundabout/verge

tip2 : make sure you have a good battery
