After swerving to avoid a collision with a woman in her 20ft long fcukin volvo estate after she pulled out of a side road, i skimmed a lamp post, meaning i need my inner arch pulling out, new wing/headlight/grill/front bumper/indicator...

so, instead of coughing up for a new bumper/grille/headlight/indicator, i'm going to fit my mk1 twin headlights (the one's seen on the articles bit of the site, the black GTE) and u know how i told u about me robbing a honda civic front bumper and a new shape nissan micra rear bumper from a bodyshop skip?! well, i'm gonna fit them.

so my car will now have:

twin headlights (with modifications to make them 'bad bwoy' style)
Honda Civic front bumper with custom hoooge spot lights
Nissan Micra new shape rear bumper (zorst hole is on the wrong side so a bit of fibre glassing is in needed)

shud be preddy unique!

i'm also thinking of buying the Carisma style roof spoiler as seen on the older version of jamie shaws car (very similar to the kingdom pinky spoiler, except im gettin one for cheaper than ?400...lol) and modding it to fit..

should look pretty sweet, at least no-one will have the same bumpers as me etc, that is until the copy cats start working there wonders :(

lol, in this instance, i was driving VERY carefully, which is why there wasn't a collision between my car and any other car in the vicinity.

i will be sticking to 30 from now on, there's no way i'm destroying my twins and newly attched Honda front bumper :O

BTW, i wasn't doin over 30 when i had the accident, i was doin around 20 cos i know it a dodgy area for cars pullin out...

so when i say i'm sticking to 30 from now on, i mean i'm not gonna speed anywhere to risk crashing...lol

fink i was doin around 25mph
the road is very narrow (about 2.5 car widths wide) so any movement and your on the pavement.
it happened pretty fast (as in i was plodding along and all of a sudden this volvo estate shot out of a side road right into my path, i thought "hit another car and have the hassle of insurance for weeks on end, or mount the pavement (no pedestrians about etc) and save wrecking my car"...i chose to swerve and mount the pavement, but unlucky for me, i skimmed a lamp post and fooked me wing, bumper, indicator, headlight, grill, inner wing...

it was also wet which didn't help matters.

sum 1 pulling out on you about 10ft infront of your car doesn't give u much time to stop! slamming the brakes on and swerving was the only way to avoid a collision.

and the fact the bitch drove off didn't amuse me one bit :(

nope. As i said, she drove off when it happened! whether she was a totally dopey biatch who didn't realise an accident had happened or she knew it had happened and fooked off! It was quiet in the area and it was out of town, so no camera's etc could have got her rego. I gave a description of her car to the dibble, but we all know how helpful they are :O

it's costing me about ?100 to fix. It would have been a lot more if i hadn't already got my twin headlights and front bumper etc. :O

if u "skim" a lampost at 20mph

how would that wreck your inner wings ged??
when i crashed the green one at that speed i hit a corsa fan on the front left ov me and took out a mk6 escort coming towards me and it didnt actually do that much damage to my inner wings.

me thinks theres more to this story than meets the eye, come on ged own up

nope lol

rick, it skimmed it (as i've said in the previous posts) meaning i hit the lamp post then carried on going for another couple of feet, it wasn't square on, it clipped the passenger side corner
