I pay 620 Fully comp, with all mod's declared and 'track day cover'.

It'll rise to 820 Fully comp when my engine goes in. I'm 22 with 4 years no claims.

My brother, 19 with 0 no claims has insured a mk1 fiesta with 130bhp spec 1600 engine for 1250 third party.

CIS, I have been with them since 16. Mods are basic smooth of all shite, wheels, motor, brakes, sus. I didn't tell them about the GSi interior  but that is in my garage now as I bent the shell, just keeping the insurance going for amazing discount as I am going to France (alps) for a few months. I have a project car for my return tho!

?2441, that is just insane mate.
I was quoted ?1500 TPFT on my astra, group 6, when i turn 18 in december i did a few quotes and came back with ?900 with 1.2nova, ?1000 for a 1.3SR, and ?1300 for my car, and my car ain't even quick, its only 60bhp.
Still unsure of what to do for my insurance, go as a named driver for ?600, or wait till 18 and be paying ?103 per month for ?1300, which i don't think i can afford not even having a job

not for under ?2000 in your own name and then you wil really struggle to find sum1 to insure you.

at 18 its possible but still very very expensive and few companies willing to do it

as i said to you in reply to the pm you sent wait till 19 unless u like burning money

Avoid CIS, I've seen untrained apes that could tell their arses from their elbows more effectively than any of their reps

Try Admiral !
Or alternatively Elephant... owned by admiral and will more often than not get you a quote a fair few quid cheaper.

I'm paying ?295 FC for the hatch (that's including about ?50 for admin charges), all mods listed and ?1500 agreed value; and ?235 TPFT for the saloon (again ?50 admin charges). I'm 22 with 5yrs NCB and 3pts. Thats with HIC - but don't forget kids, you gotta be over 19 (i think its 19) to go with them.

However I can now get the s14a and GT4 for ?750 and ?650 respectively (lol @ the GT4 being cheaper when its more powerful and a group higher), FC with protected no claims.... so the novas are going lol

Not the cheapest tho.... in my experience tescos have always undercut CIS by about ?50-100 (and tescos don't ask how many points you have, just what for)... and admiral/elephant are even cheaper if u do the 2nd driver trick  lol

I've just been looking at these premiums, and I think that they are scandalous. Ive just bought a 1988 13SR, totally original, unmodified, as a bit of a toy to have a play with.
I'm a bit older than most of you guys and gals, so you'll probably tell me to F*** O** when you hear how much my premium is.

Zero no claims (cos I've had company cars for the last 4 years), no claims or cons. I'm on the wrong side of 30. Including the wife to drive.

Its cost me ?180 Comprehensive.

Not bad me thinks when I see how much some of you poor guys have to pay.
