I just recieved this letter today through the post from the events manager at Heaton Park,

Dear Chris,
Re: Mikey Redtop Memorial Meeting

Just a quick note to compliment yourself and the other organisers of the event. From the point of view of the venue the event was a complete success, well organised and problem free. Could you also pass on my regards to the participants in the event, they certainly didn't live up to the 'Boy Racer' image so many other car enthusiasts seem to be labelled with.
Next year we have several events planned which could bring additional visitors to your event, would the weekend 21/22 May 05 be a good weekend for you? Please do not hesitate to contact me on the above number should you require any further information.

Yours Sincerely

David Schofield

Heaton Park

Once again from myself, thanks to the people who came and also the ones that donated. You all did us 'Nova' drivers proud lol

Does anyone have the show calender for next year? If so is there anything around that weekend,

Cheers

Chris

Good set of pictures you took jim, like the one of mine  not sure how it stayed dry allday especially with that cloud in the back ground.

First picture i have seen of you car jim, it looks mint! the paint job looks amazing, i look forward to seeing it next year.

Shorty, cracking idea with the bouncy castle. Who is the person in the second picture landing on there head, looks as though that was damn painfull! Ever been on the indoor bouncy castle at billing? 26 years old and we all got escorted off by the billing door men

Agreed Karl, we were very lucky with the weather.

I think I took that pic of your car just before I came over and had a chat with you, lol.

Cheers for the comment on the car, shame I couldnt take it to the meet :(

A bouncy castle sounds like a great idea! Could do with a burger van too ;)

was at my mechanics garage today when the phone rang.
it was total vauxhall.

my mechanic (bloke with long hair in vx220 turbo) said to him about the meet and why didn't they turn up.

he said in reply, we dont bother with the emails and the lad PAUL WOLFE he doesn't even know, so the message wasn't even passed on.

other then that, he said he would have come up. so oh well, shame.

great day out, big thanks to all that turned up again.

maybe the next years one if we decide to go ahead with it, we should do a poll for what charity to raise for.

Can we have a bouncy castle next time to keep us all warm lol.

I nearly bought one a few weeks ago, but instead the person who had it, trashed it. And it would be really good to do something like that but we couldnt (not at that venue) as we would have to get public liability insurance.
