The backwards and forwards at the end was me pissing about tbh. The gear linkage had slipped a bit so when i skidded past my turn in i had to reverse back and then i couldnt select first again hence the pissing about lol.
And yes as stated was decs old car but i had done a hell of a lot of work on it since buying it from him.
I live near dundee in scotland now so that was why i was at crail, its only down the road.
I wouldnt mind a copy of that pic from pvs please

Dec's car was one MINT car. Last pics i saw of it, it was painted horrible matt black inside. Looked like stevie wonder did it with a brush! I hope it wasnt you that did that?
Keith

yes mate i'm afraid it was. it was aweful wasnt it.
I did that myself and the paint reacted badly with the primer i used. That was about a week before pv2004 where you probably seen it and i didnt have time to get it sorted before hand. It was actually polaris grey the same colour as the engine bay, the bumpers, the grill and the wheels and it was done with a proper spray gun too just really badly thats all :)
seeing as all i was using the car for was a track toy i didnt really care to much what it looked like anyway.

Why the hell did you change the engine bay from an immaculate flame red, to a rough grey?
*edit* Dont get me wrong mate, still loved that car. Just didnt see the point of turning it from an immaculate show/track car, to a messy track car! Concidering the cash involved in building a car to the standard dec did!
Keith
Shame the car is no more, it was an awesome machine :(

The engine bay was nice in red i agree but when i replaced the first engine i decided to stich weld the entire engine bay for improved track perfomance and that meant i had to repaint it. I chose the same colour as the wheels etc to go along with a more motorsport theme.
Take a look at the vx touring cars they are finished in gun metal grey on the inside and in the engine bay which looks really good i was trying to copy that only my painting skills leave alot to be desired.
I am not the perfectionist like dec was. I'd much rather be driving and using the car for what it was built for rather then cleaning it. I think dec has a secret cleaning fetish did you ever see his motorbike? To keep something that clean when you are driving it that hard is very very labour intensive and to tell you the truth i just couldnt be bothered.
I am gutted about having to sell it tho i loved that car it was so much fun :(
