hi peeps i have a mk 2 and i have just brought 6 dial dash off ebay im just wondering will my car alredy have a rev counter cable or will i need 2 fit 1 cheers

If its already got one, it will be a green wire probably taped up in the loom behind the dash somewhere, and if you dont have one, then run a wire from the back of the dash, to the bottom right connector on your ignition coil :wink:

no he didnt mate, if the plug is smaller it would be a mk1 dash.....

the 6 speed dials are GTE ones arnt they?

6 dials are on GSi MK2 and GTE MK1

Anyway how can anyone live with a MK1 dash, I have bought a GTE to strip and work on, I only had 30min drive back and the thing made me sick lol. Change the dash.......the rest isn't too bad in GTE form.

the dash isnt 2 bad, u cant nick it as easily as a mk2 lol but the grey luk is borin wud go for a gsi dash me self luks wicked in black

Why can't you nick it as easily, is the MK1 dash held in better lol.

There are mods to sort the hazard switch problem, not hard at all, camb has the best, block the unused plug off by melting it PMSL.

Or shall I say....Saturday night, early bonfire and tribal ritual as I get rid of the MK1 dash, may we all tribally dance to stop evil MK1 dash spirits haunting us.
