the stongest way to make em, without the carcking all the time is GRP (fibre glass).
u make ur bumper, skirts etc.. out of anything u want, cardboard, plastic filler, filler paste or whatever. then when ur happy with the look smooth it all up and paint it with 2pack paint or a strong sealer. then wax the lot with a special release wax or equivelent (different types available). build up a few coats of the release agent then gel coat it all, when that starts to go off cover the lot in polyester resin and glass fibre matting. n repeat a few times
if ur takeing a cast off a complicated shape u have to make it in a few parts so itll all come apart, and go back together.
when everythings set pull ur cast off ur template n u have a mould for ur design. then wax, gel n resin in there n u have a fibre glass bumper, skirts etc..
its a piece of p**s to do this process when u get the hang of it, ur materials will cost u about 250 quid. practice makes perfect n the finished product will be worth it.
