I'd disagree. It's only exactly how a nova should be if it had a mk1 front :P
lol, naa i'm kidding.
Welcome to the site. Nova looks tasty, well done. Did you do the work yourself?

welcome
thats a very nice car, but i would put a mk1 boot on it so you would not have a handle but thats just me :P
Ahhh, I know this car. Use to belong to a friend of mine that worked at AutoXS/Motech in Milton Keynes.
Good to see it's still around.
Jim
P.S. Unless you've replaced them, there my old front seats :)

Mike had buckets in it at one point (few years ago now). We traded interiors as he wanted a bit more comfort. The car may have gone back to buckets at one point, I dont know for sure. One thing I do know is the roll cage is a new addition.
Jim
That answered my questions then
Still looks as good as it used to :)
Saw you down Southend the other night mate, might have been last Saturday.. can't remember!
Mint car mate, welcome to the site.

Mel cheers mate, some of the work myself and some previous owner explained below.
nbaxter Cheers mate, and that is a cracking idea about the boot!! :D
Jim 100% correct! Bought it from Mike in Northampton, but done loads more since.
Novashed Yes mate this is the one.
Jim since purchasing the car from Mike I've added, Fusion 4 point polished cage, Hi spec 4Pot Billet front brakes, Scorpion 3.5" outwardly rolled tail pipe, Piper cams, power cap and a 5" Splitfire monster tacho and shiftlight (Although not fitted in the pics, will get some up soon). Plans are the engine is coming out this winter and is going to be replaced with a 2.1 16V lump with Big valve Coscast head and harsh cams with throttle bodies. Got the engine and Coscast head just a matter of buying the internals and having the head done, Anyone done this on hear as advice would be really appreciated! :D Loads more gonna be done on bodywork and interior.
Breeny yes was down southend but i think i got nicked by mobile camera on way home Racing an RST!!! over 100 so maybe facing a ban!!!

as far as i am aware when i puchaced the car i was told it has a 60 drop with apex shocks and springs. may be be time for a change to coilovers in the near future.
car looks ace mate
welcome to nl :D

Yeah, it's an apex kit on -60mm springs. I had the same kit, there ok, but the car doesnt sit as low as say a gmax kit as the apex springs are a little stiffer i found.
The wheels are 100+ Tornados in anthracite. They were the second set to go on the car as Mike sold me his first set. He missed them so much he bought another set, lol.
Sounds like you've been doing the kind of mods Mike would have liked to do (although not sure about the monster tacho and shift light  )
Glad to see your enjoying it though, take care of it, it's a mint car.

(although not sure about the monster tacho and shift light )
I'll have to get you a pic of it, it's not F+F styleee at all, just purely for drag racing @ Pod as i keep hitting the limiter, if something is sat next to you thats noisy. It's so much easier with the shift light to change at the right time.
I see  . Whats your best time at the pod?

So far i've only ever managed to match Mikes with a 14.8, but when the Diff went on my F20 i replaced it with an F16 box, but havn't done any qtr's since so we'll have to see!

Good stuff. You'll have to let us know when you next go up there, I'd love to see the car in the flesh again. I'm still in contact with Mike and im sure he'd like to put his new motor on the strip and ive no doubt hed like to see his old car too.
