Hello,

Right I have a standard XE lump thats done 120,000 miles but has never been more than 7,000 miles without an Oil change, it has been maintained to the highest degree and 1000 miles ago it was rolling roaded at 162bhp with just a 4 branch and system.

My question is.

How much Nitrous can this engine safely take. As its stands. Then if I want to run more NOS what are the first things that need uprating?

I reckon a 50bhp shot would be safe.

Then to run 75bhp I'd need an Uprated head gasket, and ARP bolts maybe? plus cooler grade plugs? Am I right?

Does anyone now the FACTS concerning this topic... not just guesses. and I know some people have put over 100bhp into standardish XE's... but I want good reliability.

Cheers guys for any info.

P.S: The engines already got an uprated clutch, so no need to worry about that slipping.
