car not starting

Can anyone help?
the nova started the other day fine, it ran for a while then just stopped i tried starting it again but no luck it wouldnt start and still womt start, i checked the leads and spark plugs and it didnt have a spark so i checked the Dizzy and cap but it all appears fine i pulled the lead of that goes to the coil and put a spark plug in the end and it didnt spark so does it sound like the coil is knackered all leads are fine and connected in the right place its a mk1 C-reg 1.3sr so can anyone help

Take off the dizzy cap, Turn it over and get one of your mates to see if the rotar arm turns.

I had a similar problem on mine, the locating pin from the dizzy to the cam had snapped, so the rotar arm wasn't being turned.

the rotery arm is turning as i tried that so the only thing i can think of is that it is the coil, i took the middlel lead off the dizzy and left the other end on the coil. put a plug in the end that i ad turned it over and still no spark so it must be the the coil.
