Chelle txt me this morning telling me her car keeps cutting out when she is braking. I think it may be something to do with the brake servo and inlet maifold.
Any ideas??
Cheers

why has she got it out of gear when she is braking?

s it an injection engine using a carb tank? Cause that happens as no swirl pot in tank, and fuel starvation.

HT leads and dizzy cap + associated stuff require checking/changing

:o i hav just had the exact same problem!! LOL,
look in the boot, and along the back there is two brown earth wires, check the bolt is tight and its a good earth.

this worked for me anyway, it was a bad earth for the rear lights, my cars fine now though, hope it helps mate. ian

I had the same problem with my nova aswell, i got it sorted by getting the timing done thn gettin the carbs turned up abit cause the mot guys turned it down to put it through emissions test, and never told me.
(timing probably wont make any difference but mine needed doing at same time) Ive never had the problem since.
