Anyone ever fitted a new rear valance to a Mk2? Is it much hassle, and loads of welding? Where did you buy the pannel from? Just that my one is shot, its been patched up before but the w4nker did'nt paint it or waste oil it so its started rusting. Dont wanna reweld it as i would like to keep the body in good shape no expensive spared. Cheers guys.

theres some pics on here mate http://groups.msn.com/burgoscars/redsr.msnw from when i did mine

easy really, hardest bit is getting the old on out. make sure as well to just tack the new one in place, then check the boot shuts nicely before welding it up properly. if it all shuts nicely weld it up!!! dont forget to seal it all up properly again otherwise you'll be oing it again in a few years.

the other thing is if that has gone you may find chassis legs have gone as well so check these properly while your at it

dont bother paying the ?90 for vauxhall part, the pattern ones are very good. and what do you expect for ?50

I know the boot floor needs a little welding, usual place where boot floor meets back panel, so i'll do it at the same time, thanks for pointing out about the chasis leg.
Anyone know anywhere online to buy the new pannel? Checked a few but can't find one selling rear pannel. Your help is appericated thanks (God how does anyone own a nova without these forums? :)
