Water feed pipe came off header tank, fixed it but any after

Pipe came off header tank and car died, sprayed water on ignition leads, dried em and cleaned em, then fitted pipe, filled with water, ran it, then got rid of air, pumped the hoses. Filled it with water and coolant, but will there be any after effects?

Probably the securing clip was loose and slipped off. Or maybe the pipe has a split in and and slides off.
You probably already checked these simple things though.

those pipes are a bitch to get on and off, they dont just slip

Yeah i know mate, i couldn't even get the ones of my dads engine, solid.
Could the pipe be split where it join the tank so it was gripping tight.
