you'll to take a loan out for the all those tyres you'll be needing :D Just make sure you make it faster than my V8 when thats done

well i would love to have it front wheel drive just for the stupid unique factor, but rear wheel drive would be the more fun and sensible option

it would be more fun but its more work an lots of cutting

the good thing is a bloke i work with has just built a chassis at work and i watched how he did it all, it didnt seem that hard! so i could get him to help me make a rear subframe for it, aswell as the engine mounts for the front lol

would the rover V8 engine not be a better choice, saying it weights like slightly over the weight or most 4cyc car engine because its all alloy, and not a very big engine? Not to mention super reliable, goes up to 5 litres, and the sound of them make most men cum. Seems everyones putting the rover V8 engines in little cars like novas and such now. Saw one in the back of a renault 5 maxi in retro cars, bet the guy has a hard time keeping the r5 from the old rear steer action :)

i would but phil is doing this and i want to be different, plus the v6's sound awsome aswell and ive already bought the engine. plus the rover v8's really dont have that much power as standard

i always thaught the problem with the v6's was the std rear exhast manifold goes right thru the steering rack, that turbos gonna be inside the cabin :)

plus wouldnt fitting 2.5 heads raise the compression more when u really want to lower it??

The rover V8 only weighs about the same as an xe like you say. Im not really in it for the performance but once ive finished building it all up it should have 250-300 bhp depending if i go down the supercharger route or not. There is no sound that can even compare to the sound of a V8

Yeah, makes you think of the roar of the mustang at the end of gone in 60 seconds. If you pull up to the lights in a XE nova and your there in the V8 Nova, best pretend you stalled the XE when the v8 sound scares u shi^less

Even without the supercharger the V8 has loads of power to be had, high comp pistions, steel cranks would be amazing with the light alloy engine, 4 barrel carb, and so forth. Won't be a prob getting 300 out of the V8, loads of competition parts available. Huge amount of torque, and you don't have to wait for the horrible turbo lag. Fair play to ya
