45k p/a job and you can't type anything other than 'text chat'?

If I was offered 45k a year job then I'd FIND a way of getting there, even if it means....Oh I don't know....getting a small loan from my bank (Say a thousand pound) and buying something to drive, after all it won't take long to pay off when you're on ?865 a week!!

Just get something reliable.

I put my nova in to a garage to have an XE fitted, Rear disc conversion, coilovers fitted, willwood brakes fitted up front, engine bay sprayed, re-wire and a digi dash fitted. They go no probs it will take 2 weeks, i thought it was a nice deal. Its now been 3 months, all they've done is take 1.6 out and put brakes on front. They didnt even spray it, i had to arrange to get it done elsewhere. Then call in sick at work to go and tow the car to be sprayed. I went down a week later to see how there getting on and they hadnt even botheredto2 pick the car up. I had to take another day off work to get it. I cant go anywhere, im stuck in all the time, its putting a strain on me and my missus. Today i was offered a ?45K a year job but i dont know how im going be able to start my training because its in Tulworth and i cant get there. I dont know what to do, i want to beat the s**t out of them but cant. Suggestions!?!.

Jules is right, if you have been offered a 45k /year job, find a way! even a ?50 car with 6 months MOT left on it would do the job, You're a fool if you dont(only if this is real ofcourse)

Everyone goes through this with garages mate, mine took 8 months before I got it back and even then it was a wreck so I had to strip it/scrap it. Just keep phoning them and sending letters if it gets to the pisstaking stage.

There isn't much else you can do.

where are you from??
do you have the money to get the car done else where?
do you have the parts for the job to be done?

without sounding nasty, if you have the money to get the car done, buy a run a round to get to work.

answer the q's above please.

To be honest I think u may have bitten off more than u can chew with this project. I think they'll take the piss. My advice would be to recover the valuable stuff and sell it off. Buy a run about. Later if and when your job comes off and u still decide you want an XE'd nova look about take your time and buy one already done. They are terrific value for money as they dont usually fetch anything like what they cost to do. Make sure you have someone who knows how the conversion shud look when you go to scope any of them out.

Hope this helps

Im from Portsmout area. I have all the parts and all the money to pay them. I dont have no spare cash for another car at the moment because i used my money for all the parts. I wanted the best, i dont like second best or short cuts. Just wanted the job done properly and well really.

i really aint sure on what to advise.
i was going to say, that chris could do the job, but it seems an excessive trip to get the job done.

isn't there a place down there that does xe conversions.
regal or something.
i know they aint cheap, but if you supply the parts, cost might come down, or see if one of the blokes who works there would do it as a foreigner.

hmmmm i missed something.

a degree, 25% higher pay than "most" recent graduate jobs and yet someone who cant consistently grasp english can net a job just under double mine? hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

me thinks you read the offer wrong prehaps its "chance to earn ?45K/anum"

that post took ages to read. have u paid the garage yet? if not go and get your car and take cps advice at least then you will have some cash to buy a car to get to work?
