could i use my 1.3sr wiring loom for a gsi engine?
if id need t mod the loom wot sort o things would i have t do?
any help appreciated thanks.

yes you can, the engine loom is seperate. Although you have the starter motor ect wires in your sr loom but they are the same for the GSI

cool, thats wot i like t hear. but wot r all the connectors on the engine loom for, wot i do wit them?

they will be ecu plug, fuel pump relay if thats not connected. An i think there are some plugs that wont plug into anything which are for diagnostics

sorry to be a pain, but still kinda confused, how is the loom powered? do you run another set of wires off the battery for the engine loom or do i connect it to the sr loom somehow? all so confusing :? lol
you've been a great help so far dude, take it u've done it before?

I'm not sure on the original connectors for the GSi motor loom but I know there is a switched live, live and another wire that the loom needs to work. Originally they had the 3 wire connector which I think is found near the coil on the SR.

Also included on the GSi motor loom will be the injector plugs, some sensor plugs like water and oil temp, oil pressure/level is on original car loom just taped up.
