Woohooo!!! I was gutted that I had to leave so early, but you have my car in one of your photos :lol:

Nice to meet some new people. I caused a pile up on the motorway on the way home :oops: Everyone started to brake hard so i slammed my brakes on, looked in my mirror an the car just behide me just missed me then i saw some cars hit the barrier an lots of smoke about 3 cars behide. To close for my liking

think everyone there guessed or knew who was due to the fact of jack and me hat :lol:
i spoke to a few people, some of which i knew, but most of them i didn't have a clue who i was talking to.
funniest thing was when i was showing epo my carb's. i spoke to him, turned round to rev my engine, and when i turned back there was about 20 people there.

Was really good to again put some names to faces, though i still cant remember who everyone is! Some great pics posted up aswell, atlast i have a few pics of my car.
Benji, we had a top drive home as we got off the m6 because the traffic was bad. We drove all the way home on country lanes though it did take us 3 hours! Quick nova you have mate and it sounds ace. We went past you at 140mph i think, though that was on the private road at the time wasnt it mate.
Well done today everyone, you did Mikey proud. I am just glad i was able to be there around a decent group of people. Its mad how a car can bring so many people from around the country togeather.

what a great meet!!! :D thanks to all involved in setting up the event. A great amount of cash was raised which was the main point of today.
Me and Nova~Lolly had a top day. There are even pics of my car!!!! Atleast its not 'Holey' now, although the paint needs sorting...its work in progress!!!
Lol at the amount me and lolly won on the raffle. 2 PS2 games and i dont even own a PS2...yet! Chelle has put the scooby doo dog on the parcel shelf of her car and the other 2 are sat here next to me! What the hell am i gonna do wit a dragon????? :lol: im glad she dint win the screws tho. hehe
It was nice to meet you all and we both cant wait till the next meet, chelle might be in her car next time - its not embarassing like mine lol

As for my mate who won the nova steering wheel, he sold it for ?10 on the way out :lol: Would of looked slightly out of place in a mk1 golf.

it was just outside sheffield, think it was around junction 32ish, very glad i didnt get caught up in that one or though it was very close

she did get oput of the car, we had breaky with me, riggy and bruce. lol
Was a really good day. I turned up with my brother in his corvette. I was tempted to get a lift back and bring my Nova, but the alternator has been playing up and I had the battery on charge back at my folks house. We didn't stay as long as we would have liked as I had to get back to Milton Keynes whilst it was still light because of the alternator and any drain on the battery (such as lights) its not something I wanted.
However...I didn't get to leave stockport till a bit later. Since I'm running my car in I had to go down the A and B roads :x The traffic wasn't brilliant and unfortunatley the light started to disappear quicker than I realised. I was about 30 miles from Milton Keynes when my battery went totally dead killing the car :(
I managed to pull into a lay by on the A5 and called out the AA. It took them an hour and a half to find me and when he got there he identified the problem and got me up and running. Unfortunatley he blew a fuse (or possibly more, not had a chance to look yet), but the lights worked and I was able to get home. I eventually got in at 11pm :(
It was a shame the journey home was so bad as the day itself was really good.
Good to put a few more names to faces and the total raised is excellent, I think everyone deserves a pat on the back, in particular Chris16v and srs1.

Thanks for the thanks guys, but really the people that deserve the thanks are those that attended, it wouldnt have been a success without people to attend lol. I was pleased that it all ran smooth, cheers Carl and Sean.
However, I must apologise that if someone tried to talk to me and I said I would come back in a bit and talk and I didnt it was because we tried to get the raffle underway because people wanted to get home, then me and sean went to get hot and sweaty in his car (counting money), once the money was counted most of the people had gone, so hopefully I will catch up with you next time.
Top day, thanks should also go to Revs, Dave Schofield (Events manager at Heaton Park) and the local police for letting us run it.
