hi all how do u remove there gear nob as iv bought a new 1 (not led flashing sh*t) i carnt get it off at all..tryed turning it how is it held on thnks

Its just push fit - keep twisting and rotating it and it'll eventually come off. You could use rubber lubricant or soapy water to ease it but it shouldn't really be nessassary.

cut it off or just get a little heat and work it off!
angle grinder or stillson it off :twisted: :twisted: :lol:

1st tip - get a haynes manual
or, take gaiter/surround off and undo the two oppsite bolts securing the shaft in (10mm if im right) get yer hand down to the bottom of the shaft and push the ball joint up towards you and turn it ill it pops off (theres a spring behind it)
sit knob in hot water for 10 mins
twist it like fark till u get angry and use a screwdriver to smash it off lol
fitting is reverse if removal

My one was a c**t to get off.
Dunno about MK2's, but my original MK1 one wasn't a twist on/off, so I had to rip all the high density foam shite off first.
Then out with the hacksaw to dispose of a plastic cap that the foam gripped to.
Other than that, my new one went on a treat.
Careful if you have to bash on a new plastic collar for it though, cos that impact does travel down to the gearbox.
