water pipe on a XE!

iv noticed on some XE engine there this pipe and on some others its not there

whats it for and where it go?

iirc it runs to the water connection on the back left of the head via a banjo connection on the front of the throttle body.

so how come some XE engines dont have them?

dunno mate the only reason i know is because its there on a LET and plumbs in along with the turbo side of things.

its a 2nd return water pipe on the 20xe when its in the astra/ calibra the water bottle resovoir has two return pipe nozzles but on the nova bottle it only has one so you have to splice into the normal 1 existing pipe and insert a t piece to connect the 2nd pipe onto

or as i did is i used the astra bottle and just connected it up to the 2nd nozzle .

that header would do nicley and remove the need for the t peice

i dunno what you mean

the pipe comes from round the back of the inlet manifold and goes to the water resovoir thats the only way it does go on a 2.0 16v so wether in a nova or not its gotta go there wether you use a t piece of piping or use the 2 nozzled resovoir

i used the standard calibra bottle and screwed it to the passenger side turret and it fits fine a little cozy but fine and i aint seen no chrohm washer bottles antwhere

oh and the carbon fibre spark plug cover ?50 and the cam cover ?50 :twisted:

i could make one my self really, just make a water tight box with a little side bit for the pump to go on! :o

or an oil catch tank with the pump in the bottom hole?
