My dash keeps reading a much higher speed than i am actually goin, and i have tried switching the red switch both ways, and still seem to be getting incorrect readings, could it be coz my tyres are "195 50 R15, and not
175/70R13 or 185/

Found this in a guide
2. Switch - 1 showing for 175/70R13 or 185/60R14 (uses six impulse transducer) - digidash displays "125/288" on power up.
Switch - 2 showing for other tyres (Haynes wiring diagram says 185/65 R14) (uses 16 impulse transducer) - digidash displays "127/288" on power up.
3. The following tyre sizes are quoted in the Haynes manual for the Astra mk2, and the overall diameter of the tyre is given.
175/70R13 - 22.65 inches - 57.4 cm
185/60R14 - 22.74 inches - 57.66 cm
185/65R14 - 23.47 inches - 59.44 cm

Does this mean i will always get an incorrect reding

Any 1 know

Thanks

It sounds like the transducer you are using was not the original one with the dash board. Are you using the one from a nova? If so these arent compatible, you need the astra one

oh right, basically i have the black tranducer thing with 3 wires coming of it, which i have just screwed onto the white bit on my nova mk1 gear box, is this where ive gone wrong, do i need to change the white bit on the gear box that i screwed it onto, does this bit also need to be from an astra gte, or is it just the blcak transducer,

no not the white bit mate, you need to find the transducer (black thing) that originally came with your dash and then when that is wired in you will get the correct speed reading..
