CAV 1.8 8V engine

Hello,

Just wanted to know what one of these engines are like problem wise and its with an F16 gearbox, im thinking of putting it in my nova do you think it would be quick or do you think a 2litre is better, i want more bottom end not top end.

Most of the 1.8 8v cav's are only SPi, they require the same mods to fit as the 2.0 8v but with much less power. The 2.0's are cheap enough, should be able to pick one up for around ?100ish with the box.

like chris said the 1.8 8v isnt exactly very powerful and being a big block its going to be near if not the same weight as a 2lt so is going to be roughly the same as 2lt to fit. It also depends if your going to modify the engine because if you not even the 2lt 8v doe not make much power standard unless you get the 130 engine which is getting quite hard to find now.
