View Full Version : Can you put a F13 on a 20XE?

As above, I'm sure it's been done before, but what flywheel, clutch combination do you use to do this??
Also how long has the gearbox lasted, or is it still fine.
Thanks for any help, just seems a good was to do the engine swap.

Yes it can be done, but can only withstand 130 lb of torque max.
The XE is 150 as standard!

Any gen on the clutch flywheel set up??

Yeah the clutch and flywheel should fit so then you can use nova shafts and joints but I wouldn't bother cos the box will last about a week.

I uess you fit the 1.6 clutch ot the 2L then everything starts spinning. And if the F13 is so weak the turbos seem to be doing ok with them, and the turbo diesel make alot of torque and doesn't kill them. Plus as it's N/A it won't stress the box very much. Also the F15and17 are the same internally to the F13 apart from ratios, but does that mean they can take more??
I'd just like to hear what you guys have done. :)

take our word it will blow up you will more than likly end up buying a powercap ,k&n,exsaust to get a little more power so say 160-170bhp it wont last two minutes what are you plans with the engine

Currently run TB's on my 1.4 was thinking of swapping them on to the 2L to have a little fun :twisted:
