rev limiter how does it work mines not doin what it should when you get to the limit point it doesnt do what it should it just jults like fuck and doesnt go bob bob bob bob

if it stops you over revving then its doing what its supposed to!

maybe you dont have a rev limiter. some cars dont have them

then you surely know whats wrong if something isnt right :?:

if you approach the limit fast then you might go through the soft cut (if there is one) fast and straght to the hard cutoff limit which dosent sound nice.

its part of the ECU software so i doubt its "faulty" unless you have other faults in the system. get the codes out.

i thought it might be that tuned it up today on the co machine an noticed it had a very very slight mis now an then but didnt think it was enough for it to do that apart from that it runs spot on and doesnt mis at all when reving it the only thing it could be is plugs,leads,dizzy or duff coil ill try some new plugs havent changed them in a while

did you get a load on it?

air leaks etc

the limiter WONT be faulty unless other factors are in.


blocked injector, manifold leaks etc


see if you have any ecu fault codes!

ffs i wouldnt bring a car to you if you cant fault find effectively

i havent really looked at it good enough yet and dont know where the diagnostic socket is its hid some where or it hasnt got one i knew where that was i could see what the ecu is saying where would it be on the loom
