put them on now. Really the diff is minimal . i have the same springs and they looked low straight away. the difference it makes when you first fit them is is near enough the same as a couple of months down the line. You could keep them in some compressors until you fit them but as I say the diff is very minimal.

compress them right up before you fit them

it is the back ones that take a while to bed in as the is not as much weight on them as at the front just have people in the back or get a few bages of sand in the boot

How do you know when a woman's about to say something smart?

depends on the hardness of the springs aswell cause mind didn't sink any further (60mm)

and if ians had sunk anymore he would have been in trouble with arch clearance

16v Nova - Toolkit, Trouble, Points and great expence all come as standard :)

e reg shell almost gone!!

With my Puma springs, it was the other way round....the back settled in straight away, but it took a while for the fronts to bed in....the front is definitely a little lower now a year on...not by a huge amount mind.

The front will look a bit higher at first anyway, just from jacking it up, but it should settle after a quick drive round the block.

Check which rubber top-spring mounts are on your car too, 'cos there's two thicknesses on the Novas....I think only the oldest ones used to thicker rubber top-spring mount though. I had one of each on mine and it sat 5mm lower at one side than the other, so when I replaced the shocks and springs, I fitted a pair of the thinner top mounts.
