im going to be building some stealth sub boxes for my car but 1 question why does the mdf have to be 18mm thick its guna weigh alot and wont thiner mdf do the same job?

thinner mdf will flex alot more

yep and the weight difference between 18mm and 12mm is gonna be next to nothing any way, so just use the thick stuff
