I've had about 29 lessons, and have my third test on thursday, hopefully should pass.
Its different for everyone though, people can pick it up really quick, especially if they have drove cars before, on private land etc.
But i hadn't even sat in the drivers seat before my first lesson.
The DSA says that you should have 40hours on average.

And to finally be out driving is fcuking great!

I had 25 lessons so 25hours, i done my lessons with BSM passed 1st time with 1 minor :D

took me 20 hours with BSM and no practicing in between!
passed 3 months after i turned 17 with 8 minors

first time round i had about 10 lessons (2hrs) and passed first time with 6 minors.

Then got banned :(

Second time round had a two hour lesson and a three hour lesson (because it took an hour to drive to where i was having my test) then an hour before my test and passed again with 10 minors :D
