Got everything now, had a look at it and i'm stuck allready. it's rather complicating as it all joins up on the same loom ! I can't even see where to attach the solenoids and motors to the doors !

have some unconnected wires anyways

can anyone give me a guide or some help. or what kinda place should i go to to get it all installed !? autoelectrician !?

this is a description of what i have done, (just laid out on my floor, can't get the bastarding window winders off !

I've plugged each of the two solenoids into the plugs on the window winder mechanisms. Then i've matched up the colours and it connects to the loom that comes from the ECU. Then i've attached the other two plugs that are on the ECU loom and connected them to the switches. All this seems to fit together nicely. but i've got a few problems.

The third solenoid (i presume it's the one that'l activate the central lcoking when you push and pull the drivers door pin) has two wires coming from it ( a green one and a blue one ) with funny plugs on the end of them. Where do these go !?

On one of the solenoids that is linked to a window winder motor, it's connected by the plugs, but on the solenoid part of the plug there are 3 cut wires, (brown,Brown/red stripe, Brown/ white stripe) where do these connect to !? there is also a random loose Brown wire on the loom here aswell.

Near the plugs that connect the switch box there is a thick Yellow wire with a red end. Where does this go !?

Coming from the loom (near where it will connect up to one of the door's wiring there is a Black and Red wire with a plastic connecter on each one, Are these supposed to plug into the fuse box area (live and neg) ?

and finally, out of the ECU there is couple of Brown wires that run into a stollock block, also joined into here are two red wires that go to nothing. ?

And last but not least, Also coming from the ECU are a blue wire with red stripe, and a grey wire with red stripe, these are also unconnected !?

lol it's very confusing, it seems to me like someones allready played around with ti (stollock blocks) but it apparently came from a SRi and i bought it all from colin smith .

thanks

Ok here goes !

This Side seems to be spot on, i just need to connect the 4 wires together. They are all the right colours and the plugs match up !

Now, the Switch box also seems to connect up Ok, the colours don't match but they plug up perfectly. There is however this Rather Thick Yellow Wire !? is this for switched earth supply !?

This part also looks ok, i can see the two plugs that plug into the fusebox, the colours also match up !

This bit is totally wrong, it looks like they have totally messed about with this. Am i right in thinking i just need to Connect the colours back up again !? as it would leave no blank wires, liker there are now !
http://img5.imgspot.com/u/04/273/22/IMG0217.JPG

Now the worst bit ! Even if i reconnect these wires to match up the colours i will be left with the Black/yellow and Black/red wires unconnected, i've cutt back the loom a bit and there doesn't seem to be these two wires !
http://img5.imgspot.com/u/04/273/22/IMG0215.JPG

And finally, wot the hell is this !? a 3rd solenoid !? i can't work out what this does. And where it connects to !

To be honest i'm pretty pissed off as i paid ?50 quid for this and was promised a simple set that plugs together, not something that'd been chopped up into bits and bodged !

all looks good... make the wiring back to standard....

the 3rd one is for connection to an alarm.. it pulls down then pulls the switch one down... then that locks the passenger side

Christ i see what you mean about wires, Some one been happy with sidecutters.

As Ste said, and why not get the alarm system from them too if it's any good.

ok thanks alot guys

just one more queery, On one side i presume the passenger side all the wiring matches up, and there is only a black/yellow and a black/red coming from the solenoid. If i revert all the wiring back to standard the other solenoid will have a black/yellow and black/red wire unconnected, as there is only the group of the brown wires to connect to it, you can see what i mean in one of the pictures !

will it work ok like this !?

black/red and black/yellow are the driverside motor... connect to alarm if you have one

The third solenoid is to actuate the drivers side as it is only a switch.

The passenger side is just an actuator not a switch.

I fitted a 3rd solenoid because of this when fitting an alarm, is it possible to get a passenger motor and use that to actuate and switch?
