Last Thursday was on the way home from picking the mrs up and this happened.

Never heard such a loud bang/clatter. Smoke was pouring through the footwells, outta the bonnet, through the fans etc etc, ive never shit myself so much, was doing about 70 when it happened and managed to pull into a layby and got toed home by the AA.

Still, all is good cuz ive got another engine back in it now and its as beefy as hell and goes like shit off a shovel compared to my last GSi :D

Another little story for the people who dont know and are thinking, hey im sure he sold his car...

... My car was bought. I bought a R5GTturbo, wasnt keen on it in the end and insurance was riduculous. So, i sold the renault, then the next day the guy who bought mine asked me if there was anychance he could bring it back cuz he couldnt get insured on it. I snapped up the opportunity :P

My few days without my nova were dreadful.
Glad to have it back.

I dont think ive ever been happier with it either now i have it back.

Im picking up all the history of the engine thats now in it tomorrow as its modified rather alot so it'll shed some light on whats been done to it.

I found abit of a bearing and conrod in my sump and another piece of conrod hanging out of my rad :o
