i found it quite hard to get a jack under. i used the one in the boot of the nova to start off and then use a bottle jack and axle stands.

oh yeah, i forgot to add. when people say you need some modding to fit coilovers what they really mean is you have to hit your inner arch with a hammer  :D

did you re-enforce it for the extra weight, or do you think it is ok to take it?

i thought you had to actually turret the rear inners to fit coilovers on the back?

did you have to mod the rear beam mounts any?

looks good BTW

mounts should be fine, they bolt onto where the old shocks go. Just dont have the springs where they are normally, hence the extra strain on the shock mounts IIRC

all i had to do was hammer the arch to get a bitof clearance, not much, 3/4 wacks and that was enough. i have been told for heavy use i should weld some washers on where the strut bolts at the top, i'll do it eventualy but it's fine for now

it looks good ben. nice and low, get it lower for some pics though.

i would not be that confident in the lower strut mount but hey im sure it will be fine!!

That bottom strut mount on axle is the biggest pile of pants I have ever seen, wouldn't trust that to take a coilover lol.

how does it handle now then?

benji

i've not driven it yet, i still need to fit the front's.

keith, in that pic the body was sitting on the wheels, i tried to drive it forward but the rear wheels wouldn't turn, they just dragged, likei'd left the hand break on.

i've had a a drive with them now, when set to soft it's a little stiffer than ihad hoped but i will get used to it, when set to hard it is solid as a rock. i've set them on soft and it handles better than the old stuff, i have a couple of 'private test tracks' that will give a good indication of how much difference they have made, and i can also find the diff between hard and soft. theres one 'track' that i could get round doing 55 so i will give it another try :D
