1.7td box

just browsing ebay and i found a gearbox for a 1.7td astra, i know it is the same as the 2.0 fitting wise but i am not sure what the gearing would be like. does anyone know what box it is. eg f16, f20 etc or is it a completely different gearing.

my box is dying as when i cut that lug off it to clear the tie rod i cut too much off and caused an oil leak which ive had to seal. its not that good so i want to get a new box (diff has started wining even with new oil in)

i think the gearing is slightly longer. Think on the xe with the f20 box in 3rd gear at the limiter your doing about 90 whereas with the 1.7td box its over 100

ah, wont be getting that one then. i want aice cr box but i cant find one. apparently they make an f 16 cr but ive not found one. i have a spare f16 thats in good nick but id rather get a cr if poss

i'm nearly 99% sure that all cavy 2.0sri 8V had cr boxes, someone here is bound to know for sure, i don't think it was the same as with the nova SR and GTE boxes which you could find a number of different gearing or diffs.
