Yup,
I'm a new comer, (from Ireland!!) and need help with some stuff. I've a 1200 SX and need more power. I can insure anything under and including 1500cc's. Whats the best bet for me to go for, at the moment, my baby wont even pull its 16' wheels i've on it and its kinda imbarrasing. Any suggestions?

you could try a 1.4sr engine, very simple swap. Cant remember if the sx was the single point injection if it wasnt the it will be a straight swap if not its not really much harder

Na Mate, mine's a Carbed lump, is there much wiring to be done to get the 1.4 hooked up, and what the engine like for tuning potential?

get a 1.4 block from an sr and put your 1.2 head on it with a kent ast2 cam in.

that'll give you around 80-85bhp for around ?300.

You will need a 1.3 inlet manifold to fit on the 1.2 head.

Or you could get some twin 40's at the same time for about ?300 more and you will be seeing 90bhp+.

Contact a guy with the username Krobinson. He's from Ireland too and is currently building a 1.3/1.4 engine with twin 40's, etc. He has a contact in Ireland whos done the work for him.

Lovely!! I'm So happy I could cry if I weren't such a hard man!! Anyone know how to combat front end spread? A mate of mine had a 13 SR with 15's that was often belted up and down the backroads and double clutched at 5000rpm. The whole thing just came apart!! Anyone got an e-mail address for krobinson?

Yes, I know, but Keith uses the site more than Steven does, plus Keith might be able to explain it from a novices (no offence Keith) point of view, rather than Steven going into loads of detail and confusing the lad.
