Oil Leak

I've noticed a patch of oil forming where my car is parked, not much but enough to from a large patch over the past few months. The drip seems to be coming from the block-gearbox connection. Any suggestions on what gasket it could be?

has the clutch started to slip more since you have noticed the oil?

my first impreeion would be it could possibly be the big-end (crank oil seal) its hidden behind the flywheel!!

what colour is the oil? black/brown or is it red? if its red its from the gearbox.

sump plug?

oil is black/brown, Sump looks dry, its just coming from the little recess at the gearbox. Big end seal sounds likely. any other suggestions?
