View Full Version : I'm proud of my nova.....
......I know a lot of people go on about what they've killed in their nova and it can get abit boring, but yesterday i had abit of a race (just off the lights and onto a dual carriageway) with my mate in his mk4 golf tdi 130bhp. I was ahead of him in my gsi up to just over 70 and then he caught me and started to pull away. I was quite surprised though, i thought he would mostly f*ck all over me. It was also on a slight uphill and i imagine he's got a lot more torque than me so i'm proud of me nova!!! :D
what he got? the GTI diesel one? 130bhp!
funny you should say that mate, I raced a Seat Ibiza TDi last friday (assuming its the same 1.9 as in the other mk4 TDi's) and it beat me fair and square.
undertook me after about 60mph  :)
all I can say is it wasn't a bad effort for a bog standard 1.3L as it by no means 'killed' me.
all I can say is it won't be touching me pretty soon...

My mate's is a mk4 GOLF mate! Its not a gti, its a 1.9 tdi-they come as 110bhp or 130bhp. Its pretty nippy and pulls strong all the way to 125-130. Redlines at about 5500 though
i started to play in my car the other day.
but as the choke is still stuck open it is over fuelling like mad.
looks good when the flames pop out the exhaust.

seats or almost vw's anyway(if im thinking of the right company), the golf is alot heavier car so even with a lot more power you wont get destroyed by one
