they r quite quick faster than 1.3 1.4sr mine ran 17.3 at pod with body kit 16inch alloys only engine mods were exhaust and air filter.
The 16v sri your mate was talking about is proberly the one that is in the corsa

sri's 8v are 80bhp compared to 71bhp of the 1.4sr.

mines running sub-10 60s and only has de-cat induction and exhaust, so pretty nippy :D
