what do i need to fit a dream cast into my car and how do i go about it

i already have a screen and dvd player
just wondered what i needed to make the dreamcast work and get it to sound through all me speakers and subs

u need a power inverter, bout 30pounds from staples,
and a veba Fm transmiter for the sound. bout 50pounds from ripspeed.

i have an fm transmiter for me dvd player can i use the same one ?

quite handy topic, im trying to build my game cube into my glove box at the mo!!

also, (sorry epo for changing the subject) is there anything u can do to the dash to make it shiney?? because its foamy so cant spray it of it just cracks??

have you tried just spraying your dash with laquer to make it shiney

well the plan was....to strip all the foam off and make it "body work" shiney but blue. but under the foam its just like card board, i can spray all the plastc accesorys so they are al shiny, and was just thinking about leaving the dash normal just spraying it blue??? would that look shit?

ive sprayed all removable bits on mine blue

eg glove box
a, b, c pillar covers ect

epo, u can use the fm recivcer but u have 2 get a 2to1 av cable block thing from like maplins or sum then so u can put both cables into if u know wot i mean, then it should work aslong as the dvd player is not switch on, ok mate

inverters (12vin 230vout) are on sale at maplin at the mo! -very usefull to any1 wanting to put a dreamcast or similar in the car!

am fitting it because i have it spare

in the house i have an xbox and a ps2 and dont wanna put them in the car

its mainly going in for my little lad jack

I think the FM transmitters you are referring to lads is called an FM modulator. I dont know who it was that said they are ?50 form Halfords. Check ebay, can usually pick them up for 20quid

to spray your dash, i would put a really light skim of filler on, primer, colour of your choice then some nice lacquer 8)

i hooked my ps2 up wiv a 7ince screen, really good, looks nice to, took the 2 fans out and the clock and hazard switch and the screen fitted like a glove. will have to get some pics up to, with the new shiney dash aswell!!!
