Managed to get hold of a door from the scrappy a couple of weeks back so stripped it down, delocked it and repsrayed it last week.

Here's some pics of me fitting it on Sunday...

Took abour 3 hours in total but i would warn not to attempt this without a hinge pin remover! :)

the paint on the door looks great. hope you get the rest of it looking that good. horrible that someone would do that to a car. anyway good luck on getting it fixed.

did you use rattke cans cornish or a compressor etc. whats the plan, do it bit-by-bit?

I would have had the passanger door as it was in very good nick in the scrappies but i think mine is just about salvagable as it only had a few dashes of stripper on it.

The plan is to do it bit by bit, i'd like to have it finished for the shows next year then i'll probably sell it on for something else....

The spraying was done with a compressor :)

feel really sorry for you mate did you get the bastards who did it in the end maybe we should all send a can of red spray paint to you lol :P id buy one of them car covers to throw over it of a night id be gutted if it happened again after all that hard work

Nice paint finish mate, did you do it yourself in a garage. Are you respraying the whole car yourself.
The new door looks really good, its getting there panel by panel,
