1.6 8v head

Could a ported 1.6 head be fitted to a 1.4 sri. i believe they have the same shape ports. I would have the 1.6 head skimed t ogive a slightly higher compression than the stock sri head. It is not wort a big valve 1.6 head is it as it surely has bigger valves than the 14 anyway. The main reason in doing this is that worked 1.6 heads are easier to find than 1.4 worked heads on the secondhand market.

as far as im aware (dont wuote me) the 1.4 sri valves are the same size as the 1.6 ones


to fit a 1.6 head for gains you will ahve to measure the volume in the combustion chamber and then work out the compression ratio. then see how much yopu need to remove to get the desired CR
