What petrol do i put in, Unleaded or 4 star?? Its a 1991 Mk2 Trip . i have used for 4 star before, but its empty now so can i put Unleaded in??

i thought that the 1.0liter was stoped when the mk2 was interdrouced. it became the 1.2i

my mum also has a 1ltr mk2,she uses normal bogo unleaded.

Being phased out slowly.
Though it's currently unregulated, so you get absolutely CRAP fuel with octane ratings all over the place...and pay 84p per litre for the pleasure or polluting your engine! :(

Stick to shell optimax or BP ultimate fuels and you wont go far wrong.
The worst petrol you can buy comes from supermarket petrol stations.
I use nothing but optimax in my XE'd nova.

I only use BP and just tried Shell so will stick to it!

I usually drive couple of miles to get to BP when I have about 4 next to me! All crap! Everytime I use Tesco or any other supermarket car just do not GO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

my brother also has a Mk2 1.0L overhead valve jobbie (with 55,000 miles on the clock) so you can get em.

i would run my car on BP ultimate if it wasn't 87.9p per fucking litre!

will prob treat myself to a full tank when my engines sorted out :D

i know what you mean!!! i get super unleaded from a supermarket for 10p cheaper than optimax. you do feel the difference though for sure!!!

i dont think it matters what fuel you run the 1lt on its crap anyway. I would run my xe on top quality fuel but fear i may have to rob a bank to to do so as it is so fooking expensive, plus its uses loads as well.

more like hows he insured his 2lt :D If you shop around you can get cheap enough quotes for it but start with small engines an get used to the car before you go for something faster

Nah my cars insured, im confused i just saw some pictures of his 1.6 Gte, How come it says ''TRIP'' and you have the same clocks as me :o . You had a conversion or summat? that should make it even more cheaper for an 18 year old to insure :D

?2k for the 2L fully comp and nothing for the 1.6 as i drive that 3rd party of my 2L insurance :roll:

i live in low crime area, with a cat1 alarm and imob, 2 stearing wheel locks, one of them gear stick to handbrake locks, and its in a alarmed garage!

I probly live in the most deserted area on the planet!! Ive got a Clifford Concept 300 Alarm, Steering lock,Delocked,Garage,and fencing around the garden im gonna give them a call now! I can ask em and i got your plate number off your pics so i will give em that if they think im lying!
