I think this is right from past questions ive asked,

Yellow Wire-Permanent Live, This can go to something like the clock,Hazard or battery and put a inline fuse in to be on the safe side.

Red Wire-Ignition Controlled, Could go to Cigarette Lighter, I put a Inline fuse on this aswel

Black Wire-Earth, I put mine on a earth point behind the dash.

Blue Wire-Antenna/Remote, I didnt plug this to anything. I dont have a aerial yet so i dunno what it does.

I did this by using my own wires and not those that were already there as they were just a clump!

blue- goes +12v when you tourn on the headunit to tell the audio AMP or amplified arial to turn on

yellow and red are sometimes the other way round. (you will know if you got it wrong as you will loose your presets). i just wire them both to constant +12 anyway so it doesnt turn off when i turn the ignition off (so i can wait to the end of the song and i dont forget to take the faceplate off). If you have a powerfull headunit it maybe a good idea to wre the constant live directly off the battery as the standard wiring isnt up to the job.

orange- on my panasonic i wired up on the weekend this was mute (for phone hands free) but i think its usually illumination (wired from your lights so when you turn on the light it does things like put on backlights or dims the display depending on model). (wire it up last i.e once youve checked everything works)

Ive had a head unit before where the blue wire is the remote for the amp and the yellow wire is the remote for the ariel.

Its manufacturer specific
