It does as it stated, stops oil surging through the breathers as it gets thrown about through the cornering. A bit like the swirl pot in the fuel tanks on GTE/GSi's. I have never had any smoke from mine on the road only on track

Looking at the info SBD give this mod should not be used unless the main breather from the block has been blanked off.

However if the car is to be put on the track then this modification is well worth the small ammount of effort it takes to do, and it costs nothing :D
