Finally got pulled over last nite whilst out in the beast. Usually spot them but this 1 was skulking behind 2 other cars behind me in town. Took off from the lights as normal = 50 yard gap before the car behind got his arse into gear. Next thing a Sierra came up lights ablazing and pulls me over. I stays sat in and out bounds plod with that " aha got meself a little boyracer toerag to bully" look about him. I opens the door and he clocks that I'm - ahem - slightly more advanced in years than he was expecting ( and older than him LMAO). Then ensues a complete change of attitude. " Oh.. er I er .... right - I see you are wearing your seat belts.. er harness properly Sir ... er I er... "
"Is there a problem officer? " I asks
" Oh no no its OK .. I thought er you weren't wearing your seat belts properly" Then in a desperate effort to stop looking a right tool he then says " By the way you left the lights back there you must have been doing over the speed limit" Well I wasn't but I didn't argue. Had a real job not to laff went I caught the eye of his companion who was lurking about with a great big smirk on his face. They didn't ask for any docs, my name or nothing just ran the reg thru to see if it was nicked.
I wonder if it would have been the same if I was 18 or summink? Probably not.
Only thing was, everyone and his wife that I knew chose that moment to come by.
