Those of you who have been reading our forums will know that Mikey tragically passed away recently from a rare form of bone cancer.

Mikey was well into his Nova's and we would like to show our support to both Mike and his family by dedicating a meeting to him.

***************** EDIT ************* The meeting will take place on SUNDAY 10th OCTOBER starting at 1pm. The venue is at Heaton Park in Prestwich, there is lots of space as we're expecting a large turnout for this one! For directions and more details please visit the Park's website. CLICK HERE (http://www.manchester.gov.uk/leisure/parks/heaton/)

For a location on multimap CLICK HERE (http://www.multimap.com/map/browse.cgi?client=public&X=385000&Y=405000&width=700&height=400&gride=&gridn=&srec=0&coordsys=gb&db=GB&addr1=&addr2=&addr3=&pc=&advanced=&local=&localinfosel=&kw=&inmap=&table=&ovtype=&zm=0&scale=100000&multimap.x=270&multimap.y=197)

A raffle is going to be held and a small donation per car in aid of Christie's Hospital in Manchester which is where Mike was treated.

Mikey was a massive part of the nova community, he could always be found helping those less experienced in the technical section of the site. Its now its our turn to show our appeciation to Mikey so lets make this meeting a big one!

Hi, I don't own a nova, but I just want to say that you will be having the full support from my club the Northwestffocers.co.uk (North West Ford Focus Owners). My lifetime friend Simon died on monday night (27th) in Christies after a 3 year long battle with leaukemia. Simon was the person that got me into modding cars and I have him to blame for my overdraft and gorgeous car. See you at this event and if you see a 5 door Black Ford Focus with 18s on, come and say hello and I wouldnt mind if someone would introduce me to Mikeys relatives as I would like tyo pay my respect.

Simon Knagg
Site Owner and Admin of the Northwestffocers (http://www.northwestffocers.co.uk).

hi all that read this, i am sorry to hear about the recent tragedy that has happened, although i never spoke to the lad i know that most people have on this site an quite alot of people have probably got quite close to mikey, my depest sympethy goes out to his family and all his close friends on novaload, i no he will be deeply missed on here by alot of people not just in his friends and family but by people on this site, i no what it is like to loose a close friend, my best mate was stabbed to death in 2001 and i am still trying to come to terms with this great loss, so i no wot a few of u are probably going thru at the moment, unfortunatly i wont be able to make this meet due to recently loosing my license, but if mike oxford could get hold of me thru a PM a would gladly like to make a donation towards mikeys family.. once again, i am deeply sorry to hear about this and it is touching to see how people have reacted to this tragic event..
R.I.P MIKEY lets all remember him for the good things for those who knew him.... thankyou all for reading this..
