Hi all!

when u put a weber 32/34 on a 1.2 do u have to use the 1.3 or the 1.4 sr manifold?? just wondering coz the 1.4's are square and the 1.3 is oval I think anyway?!

cheers all

well im planning on fitting the 32/34 carb onto my 1.2 and i have been told that you need a 1.3.

nice 1, thought it was the 1.3 but wanted to check!

Yeah! 1.3 thats what you need! You can use 1.4 it will fit! I might use 1.4 not too sure yet thought! :)

DONT USE THE 1.4!! The ports aren't the right shape, use the 1.3 manifold (it has cathedral shape ports)

Doesn't matter - the 1.4 ports sit within the 1.3 ports thus not affecting airflow in a serious way. Makes no difference perforance wise which you use.

aside from the 1.4 manifold restricting the intake charge due to its smaller area and inefficient corners

I have recently been involved in fitting 1.4/1.2 with 1.4 carb and manifold, the bugger still runs really rough on tickover and upto half throttle!

Poss the flow being interrupted and low volume with small ported manifold into the larger ported 1.2 head.

I am going to have the thing off soon and match it all up, if it's any better then I will post it up and prove that it makes a difference.

the 1400 ports sit to one side of the valve and so dont line up
get 2 gaskets out and see !!

The ports dop not line up either way as stated. You will loose significant power if you try any combination of square and cathedral ports. Use the 1.3 manifold with the 1.2 head.

don't bother matching. Just pop down scrappy and get a 1.3 inlet manifold for a Tenner. far easier & you'll prob end up with less bhp if you match the 1.4 inlet to 1.2 head.
